2024 Medal of Honor Recipients
In recognition for extraordinary acts of valor and heroism, the Idaho Law Enforcement, Firefighting and EMS Medal of Honor is awarded to law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMTs who have been distinguished by exceptionally meritorious conduct, assuring that the sacrifices of these professionals are recognized and their bravery honored by the state whose citizens they protect.
In 2024, the Idaho Medal of Honor Commission met and selected one law enforcement officer to receive the Medal of Honor. The 2024 recipient is:

City of Boise Police Department
On October 25, 2021, Officer Chris Dance with the City of Boise police Department responded to a shooting incident at the Boise Towne Square Mall. Responding officers initially learned that at one victim had been shot and that the suspect had fled the scene on foot. Read more >>>
